Dr. Kator Nathans Chaha

Dr. Kator Nathans Chaha is a senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience in clinical practice, eye surgery, medical education, and hospital leadership. He is currently the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology and Senior Lecturer at a university teaching hospital in Nigeria.

He completed advanced fellowship training at the Aravind Eye Institute, India, with subspecialty expertise in Glaucoma and Orbit–Oculoplastic Surgery. Over the years, Dr. Chaha has served in several key leadership roles, including Medical Director of a specialist eye hospital, Head of Residency Training, and Coordinator of national and state eye health programs.

Dr. Chaha has extensive experience in:

• Glaucoma evaluation and management
• Oculoplastic and orbital surgery
• Teaching and training of resident doctors
• Community and outreach eye care programs

He is widely respected for his ethical practice, surgical expertise, and commitment to patient safety, and has contributed to ophthalmic research through multiple peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
